Wanna pop some tags but don’t know where to go? Need some things but only got twenty dollars in your pocket? Then a thrift shop may be a great place to see if you can find what you’re looking for. Depending on what you may need, there’s usually a used goods store out there for you. Here’s a list of some thrift shops around Hamline to check out.

Plato’s Closet

First of all, who’s Plato anyway? Regardless of the name, Plato’s Closet is a consignment store located on County Road C in Roseville that buys and sells gently used brand name clothing. A great place for people who like brands such as Abercrombie, Silver, or American Eagle but don’t want to break the bank to get the look.

Hours:    Monday-Saturday: 10am-9pm

Sunday: 12pm-6pm

Second Debut2 Renewed Fashion Boutique

Part of Goodwill, Second Debut2, on University Avenue, features lightly used women and men’s clothing and accessories along with an assortment of framed art and prints. Also for those interested, Second Debut2 also offers a wide range of bridal gowns and formal dresses.

Hours:  Monday-Friday: 10am-7pm

Saturday: 10am-6pm

Sunday: 12pm-5pm

My Sister’s Closet

Bringing back warm memories of yelling at your sister for stealing a favorite shirt, My Sister’s Closet, located on Grand Avenue, offers a variety of women’s clothing for all ages. A great option for those looking for more up to date clothing without the up to date price.

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday: 10am-6pm

Wednesday, Thursday:  10am-8pm

Salvation Army Thrift Store

Located near Como, the Salvation Army Thrift Store sells items of all kinds, including furniture, clothing, dishes and more. Salvation Army also takes donations of almost any item in their stores.

Hours: Monday-Saturday: 9am-9pm

Sunday: 11am-5pm
