“Give me everything tonight/for all we know we might not get tomorrow/let’s do it tonight” are lines from Pitbull’s hit “Give Me Everything,” featuring Ne-Yo and Nayer. Last Saturday, Feb. 21, it was Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias and the opening music artist J Balvin who gave the audience at Target Center everything.

J Balvin, from Colombia, opened the show and got the crowd waving their hands in air but it wasn’t until Pitbull got on stage when the building electrified. Iglesias, as usual when it comes to live performances, was full of surprises.

Iglesias and Pitbull presented Target Center with Latino music and showed their pride in their heritage. Iglesias is a Grammy winning musician originally from Madrid, Spain, who migrated to the U.S. when he was eight years old. Iglesias has sold over 60 million records world wide. Pitbull originally  from Miami, Florida, is second generation Cuban as both of his parents are from Cuba.  Pitbull is an International music artists who’s sold millions of singles and has over six billion views on YouTube.

Minneapolis, Minnesota, was the last stop for the Cricket Wireless Presents Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull tour in the U.S.A. In the middle of Pitbull’s performance, Pitbull said Prince was one of his inspirations growing up as a kid and his dream is still to get Prince to perform with him. He said he wanted to blow the roof off of Target Center to convince Prince that a performance with him at the Target Center would be special.

While rapping and dancing around stage, Pitbull is one of those rare performers that sounds better live than in the studio. He got the crowd and his dancers moving nonstop and brought the energy to Target Center. He performed many of his hits including “Give Me Everything,” “Shake,” “Fireball,” “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho),” “Rain Over Me,” “On the Floor” and more.

Pitbull briefly went over how his family struggled growing up. He said he loves music because it has a universal message that can bring people together and that’s why he continues to make music.

Iglesias took over the stage after Pitbull and opened with his hit “Tonight I’m Fucking You.” He brought the antics and even brought an audience member on stage with him to share a drink. Iglesias got him and the audience to sing along to a song that he listened to when he first moved to the U.S. at age eight. Iglesias said life was hard because intially his English wasn’t good and that song helped him cope with his transition.

Iglesias also shared that every morning when he wakes up on tour he complains about having to perform live, but said every time he actually performs he remembers how much he loves his job.

“Every time I see you [fans at concerts] I wonder what the fuck I was complaining about. I have the best job in the world,” Iglesias said.

After Iglesias kissed one of the members in the audience, leaving one person star struck, the concert wrapped up with Pitbull joining Iglesias for one last song, “I Like It.”
